Portfolio
As the Marketing Director for the American Birkebeiner Ski Foundation, this video was produced to recap the past 50 years, share the excitement and accomplishment of the week, and help raise donations for a $10.2M campaign. This video helped the organization reach that goal.
Throughout 2024 and into 2025 I helped produced various content that captured each of their events.
OUTDOOR PROJECTS
Honor to capture parts of an epic journey. Learn more about Allie: https://sites.google.com/view/alliethut Learn more about Maple: / mapletales
The organization needed a strong Fall Recruitment Campaign to make up for an entire year’s loss of numbers. The results are two :30 spots that aired via Spectrum ad buy throughout the mid-West and on YouTube pre-roll. The ads focus on two main drivers of the Scouting program: family bonds and character development.
Pandemic time meant more nature time. This reel is a few highlights.
When the mountains form a sea of color…
Spent a lot of time in the Adirondack Mountains in 2020. Autumn was certainly no exception. Thanks to DJI drones, was able to capture some of its immaculate beauty.
What shapes do you see when looking down on a freshly frozen lake from ≈100ft? I couldn't stop filming this unreal beauty. Didn't do much editing for this video. Just wanted to let nature speak for itself.
Recent Client Work
This Cooper Cheese video had a unique audience. Not consumers, but buyers for retail grocery chains and restaurants. As the Executive Producer working with Imaginasium and Gillespie Productions, we captured this brand and told this story with the highest quality.
As the Executive Producer for this Robinson brand piece, the objective was to show prospective hires what they can build when they start a career at this globally recognized company. Working with Creative Edge and Imaginasium, we captured the stories of employees to help get more of them through the door. This video was also part of a complete website overhaul which I managed.
Live Streaming
As a producer with Live X, one of my main clients was Google Retail. We produced their Made by Google product release watch parties. These streams were broadcast for Google’s retail sales associates (RSAs) all over the world.
With low latency and high quality video, LiveX created a conversational style between anchors. With video playback and the live data tracker, the over 3-hour show stayed substantive and engaging.
With numerous members of the Live X team coming from a local news background, Election Night 2022 was far from an election night first. But in working with The States Project, Live X helped give attention to the state-level house and senate elections that the nationwide broadcasts don't cover.
To make the evening an efficient, seamless production, LiveX developed a data tracker that allowed members of the The States Project to live update a Google Spreadsheet which directly updated graphics going live to air. This involved The States Project team on an intricate level, while also allowing for contributors around the country to participate in data collection.
ON CAMERA
LiveX is an industry leader in remote broadcast, live streaming and studio production services. In this video I fully produced, I unbox the latest lighting gear in partnership with Litepanels.
As a producer for LiveX, the production arm behind CheeseheadTV, I looked at their Packer based YouTube channel and pitched them a way I could contribute to their mostly football-based content. Every Packer fan knows, there’s no separating this team from this city, hence the ‘Exploring Titletown’ series was born. This video is the first installment.
Documentary
In the late 1940's and early 1950's polka was the music dominating the airwaves both on radio and the newest technology at the time: television. One of the first live television programs in Green Bay, Wisconsin's history was a polka variety show featuring the group Cousin Fuzzy and his Cousins.
One of the last surviving members of the band is Agnes Benz, aka "Cousin Aggie." She was interviewed in 2011 as the beginning of a large documentary on Cousin Fuzzy. Unfortunately, due to a myriad of circumstances, that documentary was never produced and both the footage that was collected and Anges' interview sat on a hard drive for years.
Thanks to quarantine during the COVID-19 pandemic, this project was produced, not as the full Cousin Fuzzy story, but as a proof of concept. It is the wish of the producer to do more videos like this one, featuring every member of the Cousin Fuzzy band and other polka bands from the era. The opportunity to hear from musicians who lived during the 'age of polka' is greatly diminishing. These stories should be captures while they can still be heard from the people who lived them.
This program earned the Wisconsin Broadcaster Association’s Best Documentary Special in 2017.
